Karen Malan is an attorney, accredited family and divorce mediator, RAF and personal injury mediator, and dispute resolution strategist, serving as Director at Malan Vermeulen Incorporated (MV Inc) and Managing Director of Alternative Conflict Resolution (Pty) Ltd. With over two decades of legal and business experience, Karen operates at the forefront of alternative dispute resolution in South Africa, with a particular focus on family mediation, court-connected ADR, and large-scale mediation programme implementation. Karen holds both a B.Proc and LLB from the University of the Free State and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1997. Baby has experience in trauma debriefing, grief recovery, relationship counselling, divorce and separation support, substance abuse interventions and workplace wellness. Dr. Jamie Rheeder is a seasoned facilitator, cleric, and certified spiritual advisor with more than 36 years of experience. He led communities in Heidelberg and Pietermaritzburg, delivering dedicated pastoral support, dispute management, conflict resolution, and leadership while fostering local engagement.Holding a PhD in theology, Dr. Rheeder has specialized expertise in Spiritual Direction. As an expert mediator, he refined his skills through the Mediation Academy, did a mentorship program through Alternative Conflict Resolution and contribute pro bono sessions at Soweto’s Protea Court and Johannesburg court.
