I have been in practice for 36 years and the senior partner of this firm for the last 20 years. I specialize in defending insurance and municipal related medico-legal matters.

Admitted attorney and accredited family law mediator with a passion for reshaping the legal landscape through empathy, integrity and unshakable resolve. As an executive committee member of the Johannesburg Attorneys’ Association, I actively contribute to the advancement of the profession while championing a more human-centered approach to law. I am a dynamic public speaker and a proud small business owner with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. I am an International ATLS Trauma Instructor, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons / FACS and Master of Laparoscopic/ Keyhole Surgery through IRCAD/EITS Strasbourg, France. I obtained a Diploma in Anaesthesia from The College of Medicine South Africa. I am a Bonsmara cattle farmer and, since the year 2000, have been well known in the Bonsmara Cattle Breeders Association. Karmel Bonsmaras previously stemmed from my interest in the cattle Industry. I was a finalist for the Climate Ambassador Farmer of the Year in 2026. I am interested in general surgery and related medico-legal and expert witness work. My experience as a proficient and seasoned general surgeon and traumatologist with more than 22 years in private practice contributes to my expertise. During this period, I acquired numerous additional national and internationally endorsed qualifications. I am compliant with HPCSA requirements and qualified as a mediator through MPA and passed the SAMLA Foundation Course in 2025 with distinction. During my tenure as a surgeon, I rendered additional surgical services in person to numerous rural communities and patients in the Northern Cape, Northwest Province and Greater Karoo. I am committed to exceptional patient and client care. I passed the SAMLA Foundation Course in 2025 Cum Laude. I qualified as a mediator through MPA in 2025.
