Anneke Greyvenstein is an experienced and accredited family mediator with 20 years in the family legal sector, dedicated to helping families resolve disputes. Accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Family Mediators. Anneke has mediated complex parenting, maintenance, and co-parenting matters across South Africa. She is a NABFAM-accredited mediation trainer for more than a decade. As co-developer and guest lecturer of South Africa’s first postgraduate family mediation programme at North-West University, she combines academic depth with extensive practical experience. Anneke is also co-leading the MOMS Project in collaboration with the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, an innovative initiative aimed at digitising maintenance obligations and developing a formal register to strengthen maintenance enforcement. The project is designed to ensure greater accountability by enabling credit providers to access verified maintenance information before granting further credit, thereby protecting children’s rights and promoting responsible financial conduct. Through this work, Anneke continues to drive systemic reform, making family mediation more accessible, effective, and aligned with social justice objectives. She has co-founded multiple organizations dedicated to family mediation, including the Social Justice Network Pty Ltd and Coparent.co.za, where she serves as CEO. As the Chairperson of the Social Justice Foundation, she actively champions innovative legal solutions that bridge the gap between parents, family courts, and credit providers. Since 2013, she has been an active member of the National Family Forum under the Department of Social Development. I qualified as a Family and Divorce Mediator through the Social Justice Association in May 2022 . I received my first NABFAM accreditation on 14 June 2023. I remain a member in good standing of the Social Justice Association, and my current accreditation runs from July 2025 to July 2026. As this is an ongoing process, I attend CPD Point webinars and other training to keep my accreditation current. I have worked at the Protea Soweto Children’s Court on a pro bono basis from January 2024 to date, as this is also an ongoing project run by ACR Community (Alternative Conflict Resolution). Mediator|Advocate Charlene is accredited as a commercial mediator by both Conflict Dynamics and the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR). She has been a member of the South African Association of Mediators (SAAM), serving as its Vice-Chairperson (2019–2020). She has completed the SAMLA Foundational Medico-Legal Training course and has served on the SAMLA board, and Chaired the SAMLA Quantification Interest Group. She completed the Law Society’s Certificate in Medical Law and has extensively practiced in family mediation, as a NABFAM accredited mediator. She is also an executive and leadership coach. In addition to her professional practice, Charlene is the founding member and an Executive Director of Mediation Pan African, a training organisation dedicated to advancing mediation standards and skills across the continent.
