I am a Family Law and Civil Litigation Attorney, accredited as a Family Law and Divorce Mediator through the Social Justice Association of Mediators (SJAM). My practice focuses on divorce, parenting disputes, and related family law matters, where I work closely with individuals and families navigating significant life transitions. With experience in both litigation and mediation, I bring a balanced perspective to conflict resolution - understanding the realities of court processes while prioritising constructive, solution-focused outcomes. My approach is grounded in professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to helping families reach agreements that are both legally sound and practically sustainable.

Angel’s Impilo Mediation and Social Work Services is a community-based, child-centred organisation providing professional mediation, private social work, and psychosocial support services to individuals, families, schools, and communities. We specialise in family and divorce mediation, parenting plans, maintenance agreements, care and contact supervision, Voice of the Child services, and restorative conflict resolution. Our integrated model recognises that effective mediation often requires the professional input of a qualified social worker. We therefore offer assessment, psychosocial reporting, child consultations, risk screening, family dynamics evaluations, and court-aligned recommendations to support informed and ethical mediation outcomes. In addition, Angel’s Impilo delivers bullying and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention programmes, early intervention support, referral pathways, and trauma-informed services for vulnerable children and families. Founded on principles of dignity, impartiality, accountability, and best interests of the child, our work is guided by South African legal frameworks, social development policies, and professional ethical standards. We aim to bridge the gap between legal processes and human-centred care by providing accessible, practical, and developmentally appropriate solutions that promote safety, stability, and long-term wellbeing.

I have many years of experience in assisting people through sensitive matters involving marriages, family disputes, trauma, and other difficult processes. During these difficult times, people become vulnerable, and their self-worth is affected; I believe that through mediation, each party could be strengthened. And as a mediator, I am committed to helping parties to navigate through these difficult conversations and conflicts by encouraging dialogue. It is of utmost importance to assist parties to be empowered and to remain in control of the outcome of their dispute. I believe mediation to be a unique solution to complicated issues and that each person and dispute is unique.

ABOUT ME I am an Industrial-Organisational Psychologist, Family Law, Medico-Legal, Road Accident Fund (RAF), and Commercial Mediator with more than 27 years of professional experience. I obtained my postgraduate psychology degree with distinction from the University of the Witwatersrand. I am a Rule 41A accredited mediator in association with Conflict Dynamics, Alternate Dispute Resolution Group, and Mediation Pan African. I am also a registered mediator with the South African Medico-Legal Association (SAMLA) and the Family Life Centre of South Africa (FAMSA). EXPERIENCE My mediation practice focuses on all Rule 41A matters, including Road Accident Fund (RAF) claims, divorce and family disputes, workplace conflicts, medical negligence matters, and commercial disputes. My facilitative approach draws on both my clinical and organisational psychology experience, enabling me to guide parties through complex emotional issues while remaining mindful of the relevant legal considerations. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively in organisational development, employee assessment, leadership development, and workplace conflict across a wide range of industries. I have served in both consultancy and practitioner roles, applying my understanding of human behaviour, organisational systems, and group dynamics in corporate and clinical environments. For more than 25 years, I have worked as a Vocational Expert and have provided expert testimony in the High Court. In 2016, I expanded my professional practice to include mediation, focusing on Road Accident Fund matters, workplace disputes, divorce and family conflicts, commercial disagreements, and matters involving police conduct. My involvement in the South African Medico-Legal Association (SAMLA) Road Accident Fund (RAF) Mediation Pilot Project provided valuable experience in resolving complex disputes involving injured claimants, legal representatives, and Road Accident Fund officials.

Dr Marli Jooste holds a PhD in Psychology and is an accredited Commercial and Workplace Mediator through Conflict Dynamics. With more than 15 years' experience in private practice and an extensive background in corporate human capital, leadership development, behavioural assessment, and organisational consulting, she brings a unique combination of psychological insight and commercial acumen to dispute resolution. Her mediation approach is informed by transformative mediation principles and behavioural science, enabling parties to move beyond positions and assumptions towards deeper understanding, sustainable solutions, and strengthened professional relationships. She is particularly passionate about facilitating complex workplace conversations, leadership disputes, team conflict, organisational change, and relationship breakdowns where trust, communication, and human behaviour play a central role. Dr Jooste regularly advises organisations on talent selection, leadership development, succession planning, restructuring, employee wellbeing, and behavioural risk. Through her work in psychometric assessment, coaching, and consulting, she has supported leaders and teams across a broad range of industries both nationally and internationally. As co-owner of PhysEQFiT Wellness and PhysEQFiT Guesthouse, she also understands first-hand the realities and pressures faced by business owners, professionals, and leaders. Angela is an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, an accredited Mediator, and a qualified Parenting Coordinator dedicated to helping families navigate separation and divorce with clarity, structure, and dignity. As the Founder of Family Lawyer SA (www.familylawyersa.co.za), Angela brings substantial experience in family law, dispute resolution, and complex parenting matters. Her professional background allows her to understand not only the emotional dynamics of separation, but also the legal consequences of unresolved conflict. He served SAMLA (South African Medico Legal Association) as director from 2005 to 2020, in various capacities as deputy chairperson, faculty principal, clinical negligence director and mediation director, and in 2020 was awarded honorary life membership. In SAMLA he led the development of a series of pioneering UCT-partnered postgraduate training courses in medico-legal practice; guidelines and protocols for medical mediation; clinical negligence mediation pilot projects with provincial departments of health; and the SAMLA-RAF personal injury mediation pilot project. He has also served the HPCSA-RAF Appeal Tribunals as member and as chairperson; as well as the Association for the Protection of Road Accident Victims (APRAV) as chairperson of the Solutions Task Team Medical Committee. He has co-authored three publications in peer reviewed journals on serious injury determination, the narrative test and the functioning of HPCSA appeal tribunals. He has written thousands of medico-legal reports and has testified in court as an expert witness in hundreds of matters. He has mediated 45 medico-legal disputes. He is passionate about medical science, ethical practice and the promotion of mutual respect and understanding. He believes in the capacity of the mediation process to resolve conflict by harnessing the power of constructive self-determination of the parties to the dispute.

Anneke Greyvenstein is an experienced and accredited family mediator with 20 years in the family legal sector, dedicated to helping families resolve disputes. Accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Family Mediators. Anneke has mediated complex parenting, maintenance, and co-parenting matters across South Africa. She is a NABFAM-accredited mediation trainer for more than a decade. As co-developer and guest lecturer of South Africa’s first postgraduate family mediation programme at North-West University, she combines academic depth with extensive practical experience. Anneke is also co-leading the MOMS Project in collaboration with the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, an innovative initiative aimed at digitising maintenance obligations and developing a formal register to strengthen maintenance enforcement. The project is designed to ensure greater accountability by enabling credit providers to access verified maintenance information before granting further credit, thereby protecting children’s rights and promoting responsible financial conduct. Through this work, Anneke continues to drive systemic reform, making family mediation more accessible, effective, and aligned with social justice objectives. She has co-founded multiple organizations dedicated to family mediation, including the Social Justice Network Pty Ltd and Coparent.co.za, where she serves as CEO. As the Chairperson of the Social Justice Foundation, she actively champions innovative legal solutions that bridge the gap between parents, family courts, and credit providers. Since 2013, she has been an active member of the National Family Forum under the Department of Social Development. I am a NABFAM accredited family law mediator, registered with the HPCSA, with a background in psychology and drama therapy. I support individuals and families in navigating separation and divorce. I am experienced in working with couples, children, and high-conflict situations, and aim to create a contained process that enables constructive engagement and practical outcomes.

I practiced as an advocate for 25 years specialising in labour and employment law and have more recently joined Garlicke & Bousfield Inc as an attorney and Director. I am also currently ad hoc company secretary for a Norwegian shipping company, reports editor for the Industrial Law Journal and regular contributor to the Healthcare Business Review. I trained as an arbitrator through both AMSSA and AFSA and as a mediator through ADR group UK (international accreditation in civil and commercial mediation) and am passionate about dispute resolution and conflict management, holding panelist positions with Conflict Dynamics, Mediation in Motion, Mediation Pan African, and am a registered medical mediator with the SA Medico-Legal Association. I have extensive experience as a mediator, arbitrator and facilitator, in both the employment and civil & commercial sectors and have mediated commercial, school, corporate governance, medical negligence, personal injury, professional negligence, family & family business, grievance and workplace conflict disputes. I was involved in pro bono mediation projects at both the Durban and Cape Town Labour Courts and in the RAF and Gauteng and Western Cape Health Department pilot projects to contribute to the development of medico-legal mediation in South Africa. I was also involved in the creation of a Stakeholders Engagement Forum with the Ethekwini Municipality, business and community in the Cornubia Industrial precinct in KZN and in training for the University of Cape Town in workplace mediation using restorative justice principles.

Marius holds the degrees B.Proc. and LLB. He also obtained diplomas in Insolvency Law and Advanced Banking. He was admitted as an attorney in 1996 and practiced as an attorney (and director from 1998) at a medium firm of attorneys. He completed pupillage in 2010 and has practiced as a member of the Johannesburg Bar since December 2010. He has a general commercial litigation practice with an emphasis on banking, insolvency law and general litigation. Marius subsequently attended the mediation course presented by Fair Practice in December 2025 and successfully completed same. Subsequent thereto Marius registered as a mediator with International Mediation Institute (IMI), Social Justice and Mediation Society of South Africa (MSSA – an approved RMO in terms of the Mediation Protocol).
